Reading the reviews of people who bought this guide for traveling in Europe, it makes me wonder just what the heck they were thinking. So many who posted bad reviews seemed to think that this guide was created to not only tell them about a place of interest, restaurant or hotel…but also navigate them to the place? Not so! This is just a basic travel guide. Nothing more, nothing less. If you want your Garmin GPS device to actually navigate you to a desired place in Europe, you’d better have a Garmin that already has the European maps installed! Perhaps if people would bother to actually READ the full description first, it would save them a LOT of hassles and misunderstandings. This guide is okay, for what it is. It would be nice if there was a way to periodically update the information though.

This product would not upload onto my garman nuvi. I tried to do it direct to the unit and then through my pc but could not do it. Product support at garman was a long wait and I got got cut off 2 times so i sent the item back.

PS i love my nuvi for this country.

The Garmin travel guide is very limited for the money. Don’t waste your money.

This guide has a lot of useful information but only if you are going to one of the large cities listed in the guide. However it is very confusing and un-intuitive to access. There is a “Travel Guide” icon on the touch screen which Garmin tech support tells me that it is nonfunctional because the Garmin Travel Guide is not completely compatible with my Garmin Nuvi even though it is listed as an accessory for my particular Nuvi. No matter which city I enter in the search bar in the “Travel Guide” it takes me to someplace in Maine. Yes, I called Garmin Tech Support on two seperate occassions because I was certain the card was corrupted and not working correctly. Their only response was to walk me through a number of confusing steps to access the information that I want. Of course these steps are forgotten by the next time I want to use it and it takes me 10 or 15 minutes to figure out again which is very frustrating. My recommendation is to save your hard earned $50 bucks, go to AAA and get a free(if you are members) tour book. It will have a lot more information for a lot more destinations, even smaller towns.

GARMIN 010-10672-02 Nuvi Europe Travel GuideI searched Amazon for a MAP upgrade to have while walking and/or driving around Paris, and this was “suggested”.

GUESS WHAT? NO MAPS! Supposedly just a list of touristy places to go to and stay! You can get that free on the internet with your browser, and would never use it while driving anyway. What jerk designed this? Meanwhile I was stranded in Paris with no navigation maps and no place to exchange the product for what I really needed.
